After 11 years of evolution, the newest version of the Night-Writer is finally here.
Originally developed by Darren Pearson (Dariustwin) as a custom tool for his own light painting photography and animation work, the Night-Writer has evolved through years of experimentation, rebuilding, and refinement. Different versions of the Night-Writer became the tool behind many of Darren’s skeletons, dinosaurs, stop-motion films, and long exposure light paintings over the past decade.
Over the years, around 900 handmade Night-Writers have found homes with photographers and artists around the world.
Designed in collaboration with a mechanical engineer and electrical engineer, this newest version is the biggest evolution yet.
Night-Writer is a precise drawing tool designed for light painting photography.
It features 11 specially designed colors that are accessed through ergonomic side button controls. Night-Writer is a symmetrical design suitable for both right and left-handed users.
There are 3 neutral colors:
- Cool White
- Warm White
- Chocolate
And 8 rainbow sequenced colors:
- Red
- Orange
- Yellow
- Green
- Teal
- Blue
- Purple
- Pink
The dial on the back is used to set specific brightness levels.
